What this layer is

The Crystalline Hollow is built around verticality and crystals. The terrain is hectic, with very large drops that turn one missed jump into a run-ending fall. Different crystals provide useful effects or dangerous ones, and a flying crystal enemy called the Manifestation patrols the layer.

The layer is a reference to Crystalline Hollow in Orsoniks’ earlier game Gooey. It is not playable in the demo, so treat the route, resources and Manifestation behavior as pre-release knowledge.

Pre-release information. This layer is not playable in the demo. Details come from developer updates, community datamining and pre-release material, and may change when the full game launches on November 9, 2026.

Field notes

  1. Carry a Jetpack or a long rope before attempting the layer.
  2. Test crystal effects at range; not every shining formation is safe.
  3. Keep a fall-recovery plan: splints, painkillers and a tourniquet.
  4. Do not fight the Manifestation near a cliff edge.
Depth check: this layer ends at 2,400 m. The demo’s final layer is the Overgrown Depths at 1,500 m. The full game continues to 3,300 m.

Packing for the descent? Read the beginner guide, then check the injury system before you treat your first real wound.
