Build a
treatment order.
Select what the health panel is telling you. The tool ranks the treatment steps in the order that keeps the run alive - bleeding first, infection second, bones last.
Treatment order
UrgentThe logic
Why this order exists.
The game tracks several independent clocks. Bleeding can empty your blood volume; pain can force unconsciousness; infection can become sepsis. Treating the wrong clock first gives the others time to finish you.
Full injury guideBleeding first
A heavy bleed can drop blood volume faster than any other injury. A tourniquet stops the clock instantly; a dressing fixes the wound afterward.
Consciousness second
Pain above 75 builds shock. At 66% shock you pass out, which is usually fatal in a hostile room. Treat pain and blood loss before bones.
Infection third
A dirty wound can seed infection every 40 seconds. Disinfect early; use antibiotics if the limb is already infected.
Bones fourth
A splint disables the limb but speeds healing. Do not apply one halfway up a climb.
Monitor last
Re-check bleeding, infection and pain after 60 seconds. The first treatment is rarely the last.
Bleeding thresholds
| Rate | Sign | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Under 0.1 L/m | Minor smear | Dressing when safe |
| 0.1-0.3 L/m | Steady drip | Dressing now |
| 0.3-0.7 L/m | Heavy flow | Tourniquet, then bandage |
| 0.7 L/m+ | Spurting | Tourniquet immediately |
Infection red flags
- Skin health below 80 on a dirty wound.
- Infection above 60 - amputation becomes possible.
- Infection above 90 - adjacent limbs can become infected.
- Total infection above 100 - sepsis begins.
- Fever, confusion and rapid heartbeat - treat as sepsis until proven otherwise.
Tourniquet safety
Tourniquets stop all bleeding on a limb, but after nine minutes they damage muscle and can seed infection. Remove and reapply before the timer expires if you still cannot bandage the wound. Never apply one to the head - it causes respiratory arrest - and do not use one on the thorax or abdomen.
What this tool does not do
It does not read your health panel, account for armor, or know your inventory. It does not model internal bleeding, fibrillation or sepsis numerically. It gives a priority order; you still have to check the actual numbers and adjust.
