What it does
Antibiotics are the most practical infection treatment in the early game. Each 20 mL dose reduces sepsis by 5, lowers mood by 1 and grants 8 minutes 20 seconds of immunity time with a +70 immunity bonus. That is enough to stabilize an infected limb while you decide whether to disinfect, treat or amputate.
The bottle is light, common in medical loot and does not require a minigame to use. Keep one for the Wasteland, where radiation can seed random infections, and one for any wound that drops skin health below 80.
Effects and usage
- Five 20 mL doses per bottle.
- Each dose: −5 sepsis, −1 mood, +8m 20s immunity time.
- Immunity is increased by 70 while the timer is active.
- Immunity value does not stack with other antibiotic sources; duration does.
How to get it
Medical crates, life-pods and survivor stock. Not craftable in the demo.
This item is found as loot or bought from survivors; it has no crafting recipe in the current demo build. Its value scales with condition, charge or fluid volume, so sell it only after checking the trade value.
Field notes
- Take antibiotics before the infection moodle appears if you have a deep, dirty wound.
- Do not rely on them after infection passes 90; adjacent limbs can become infected.
- Antibiotics do not replace disinfection. Use both when the wound is fresh.
- Watch your mood: repeated doses add up, and low mood makes every treatment harder.
