Storage Craftable · INT 5

Foliage Bag

The first container every run should craft.

4u capacity, 25% encumbrance reduction and a cheap recipe. It is fragile and temporary, but it fixes the first-hour inventory crunch.

What it does

The Foliage Bag is the first storage upgrade in the game. It holds 4u, accepts items up to 2u each and reduces the weight of everything inside by 25%. The recipe is one Rope and two Canvas at INT 5, which is achievable within minutes of leaving the life-pod.

It is not durable. The bag decays in 25 minutes and can be ripped for a Ripped Dressing in an emergency. Treat it as a starter container: craft it, fill it, then upgrade to a Sling Bag or Backpack before it falls apart.

Effects and usage

  • 4u capacity and 2u maximum weight per item.
  • 25% encumbrance reduction on stored items.
  • Craftable at INT 5 from 1 Rope and 2 Canvas.
  • Rippable quality: can be torn into a Ripped Dressing.

How to get it

Craftable at INT 5; also found in life-pods and storage crates.

The recipe requires INT 5. If you are below that level, the craft can fail or disappear from the menu. See the crafting guide for the exact failure thresholds, or open the crafting calculator to check the ingredients.

Field notes

  • Craft it before exploring; inventory space is survival.
  • Favorite it so crafting recipes do not consume it.
  • Do not store fluids in it unless the container is sealed.
  • Upgrade to a Sling Bag at INT 7 instead of repairing a worn Foliage Bag.
Data note: values reflect Demo 7.0.1 and the public pre-release build. The full game releases on November 9, 2026 and may change item balance. If you spot a discrepancy, use the sources and corrections page to compare references.
